A company contracted by the City began setting wild hog traps last week, with the last one being set last Friday. There are 6 traps in and around the area near our neighborhood. Each of the traps is baited and can hold two boars at a time. This past weekend 2 boars were trapped in an area between our neighborhood and the fire station. The company doing the trapping and Animal Control will be keeping an eye on the traps daily to see if more bait is need, if the traps are damaged and to check for boars in the traps. They started with 6 traps, but if needed may add more.
The HOA Board decided to change landscape companies, and has engaged Landmark Landscape Group. They will re-landscape much of the entrance, and will also perform our ongoing maintenance. Landmark was selected from three companies that submitted proposals, after much deliberation by the Board. Landmark is owned by one of our Spring Meadows residents (Nathan Teinert), and we are hopeful that they will significantly improve the appearance of our common areas. The front project work is scheduled to be done sometime in April.
